Rangeley, Maine. The staff at The Wilhelm Reich Museum are pleased to announce a new cookbook has been printed.  A collection of recipes from our friends, supporters and volunteers from near and far. Their efforts and friendship are indispensable.  And best of all, they’re great cooks. Learn how to make everything from Whoopie Pies to Hamburg Casseroles. The books sell for $6.00 each  or  2 for $10.00. To order them by mail send the required amount plus $2.00 for postage and handling to: The Wilhelm Reich Museum, PO Box 687, Rangeley, Maine  04970 or visit the museum’s gift shop.

While you are here take the time to visit the museum’s Observatory building which details the life and work of renowned physician/scientist Wilhelm Reich.  Visitors to the Observatory can enjoy a fascinating biographical video about Reich, then tour the building, view Reich’s scientific inventions and equipment, his study, library, sculptures, vivid paintings, and his personal memorabilia. Children can explore a hands-on Discovery Room. And the Observatory roof provides spectacular vistas of the region’s open skies, lakes, and surrounding countryside. Reich’s tomb, with its dramatic bronze portrait bust, is in a forest clearing nearby. The Observatory is open in July and August, Wed. - Sun. 1-5 p.m.  September: Sundays only 1-5 p.m. Special tours year-round by appointment.FMI: (207-864-3443) e-mail: wreich@rangeley.org.
