Rangeley Lake Boat Tours to be offered aboard the "Oquossoc Lady"

The Oquossoc Lady

Rangeley Region Lake Cruises, LLC will offer scenic, 1 hour Rangeley Lake tours aboard the 1947 antique launch "Oquossoc Lady" starting this summer. Tours are available from Memorial Day weekend through early early October. Private charters are also available. All cruises depart from Saddleback Marina in the Village of Oquossoc, Maine.

The 60-minute tour combines a leisurely cruise with an informative discussion of the Rangeley Lake Region's rich history. Board a 28' antique wood launch and enjoy the lake from the same perspective of the early visitors and "sports" that rode steamboats to the hotels & camps that dotted the lake.

Sights you will see or learn about include: Oquossoc Cove, LL Bean Camps, Naramantic Island, South Bog, Steam Boat Landing, Bald Mountain, Rangeley Lake State Park, Saddleback Mountain, Mountain View House, and wildlife indigenous to the area including the common loon and brook trout.
