Pianist Andy Kahn to Perform at the Wilhelm Reich Museum

EVENING OF MUSIC:  Jazz and the Standard Song

Pianist Andy Kahn of Philadelphia - who performed at our Evenings of Music from 2004-2006 - returns for a solo performance at this year's Evening of Music at The Wilhelm Reich Museum.  Andy's repertoire will feature tunes from the songbooks of Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, George Gershwin, and Richard Rodgers & Lorenzo Hart. And because Be-Bop and Classic Jazz are both based upon American Standard songs written by these and other master composers, Andy will also play some of his favorite jazz selections as well as his own jazz improvisations.   Sharing anecdotes and special elements about these songs lends a personal touch as Andy guides his audience through America's unique contribution to the arts: "Jazz and the Standard Song".
