"Butterfiles" Lecture on August 30th

This Sunday's and the summer's final program is about butterflies by Colby College Professor, Herb Wilson.

Herb Wilson is a professor of biology at Colby College in Waterville , where he teaches diverse subjects on biology. He is also a coordinator for the Maine Butterfly Survey. He writes a column for several newspapers in Maine about birds.

Visitors are encouraged to visit the Observatory building which details the life and work of renowned physician/scientist Wilhelm Reich whose interest in the natural environment led to the introduction of the Natural Science Program in 1989. The Observatory is open Wednesday through Sunday 1-5 p.m. in July and August, September Sundays only 1-5 p.m. The adult admission fee is $6.00, children 12 and under are free. The Sunday Nature programs are free of charge and start at 2pm .

The Natural Science Program is funded by individual donors. See you there.
