Classical Julian Lawrence Gargiulo is returning to Rangeley this summer. A dynamic pianist who renders the compositions of renowned masters with extraordinary passion and precision, Dr. Gargiulo performs regularly throughout the world in halls such as Carnegie Hall (USA), Moscow Conservatory Hall (Russia), and Verona Philharmonic Hall (Italy). He earned his Doctor of Musical Arts Degree at the University of Maryland, Master's Degree at the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University, and Bachelor's Degree at Rowan University. On April 30, 2009, Dr. Gargiulo played a concert at the United Nations. The program included pieces by Scarlatti, Tchaikovsky, Verdi, Chopin, Debussy, Puccini and Rachmaninoff. In addition to an evening concert at 7:00 p.m. in the Church of the Good Shepherd, Main Street, Rangeley, ME on August 17, 2009, Dr. Gargiulo will be holding a master class earlier in the afternoon (1:00 PM). Prior to arriving in Rangeley, he was a Resident at Middlebury College, VT and shortly after his performance here, he is leaving on a concert tour of Italy. Adult tickets for the concert are $15.00 available at the Rangeley Chamber of Commerce 864-5364 and at the door. Admission to the master class will be $10.00 at the door for spectators.
